Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed that they will be taking on Celtic in a pre-season friendly at the Parc De Princes, in France next week.

The French club officially announced that this game will be taking place on Tuesday 21st of July. They will also be facing off against fellow French side Le Harve on the 12th and Belgian side Waasland-Bevern on the 17th. A fourth game will be played shortly after but no opponents have been named for that one as of yet.

These games are set to take place, in the French capital in order for PSG to prepare for their two cup finals in which they are set to face Lyon and AS Saint-Etienne and also the remaining games of the Champions League campaign.

This will be Celtic’s first game since March when they defeated St Mirren, before not just Scottish Football but also World Football was put on hold, due to the coronavirus pandemic. The hoops are also expected to face off against another two French opponents in Nice and Lyon, but that is yet to be confirmed

It may be a tough task for Neil Lennon and his side, but I’m sure they will be raring to go after such a long absence from playing as they also prepare for the league season to kick off on the 1st August when they face Hamilton.
