Celtic’s treatment tables have been busy for the past few weeks and Neil Lennon goes into tonights clash with Sparta Prague minus Forrest, Ajer, Jullien and Mikey Johnston. Some concerns have to be around the back four tonight with Ajer and Jullien out.

Sparta have their own injury problems with Lukas Stetina, David Hancko and Adam Hlozek all out injured. Despite their injury concerns they have won all seven league and cup matches domestically and sit top of the Czech table. But, they travel to Celtic Park tonight on the back of successive defeats in the Europa League to Lille and AC Milan.

While three points is the most important objective tonight, Hoops fans will be hoping their team can produce another decent performance after two brilliant first-half displays away to Lile last week and Aberdeen at the weekend.

Nobody was expecting too many surprises to Neil Lennon’s selection tonight and the big surprise is that the Irishman has stuck with the same team as the weekend. This will make a lot of people while the sceptics will feel it’s just from a lack of choice.

This will be Celtic’s very first meeting with Sparta Prague in European competition.
Celtic were last drawn against Czech opposition in the Last 32 of the UEFA Cup in 2003-04 when they eliminated FK Teplice 3-1 on aggregate.

Sparta Prague has won each of their last two away matches against Scottish sides, beating Airdrieonians in the Cup Winners’ Cup in 1992-93 and Hearts in the UEFA Cup in 2006-07.
Celtic have lost each of their last two home games in the UEFA Europa League and could lose three UEFA Europa League/UEFA Cup home games on the bounce for the very first time.

Mohamed Elyounoussi has netted three goals in two games in the UEFA Europa League this term and could equal Kris Commons’ four goals in 2015-16 as the most by a Celtic player in a single season in the competition.
