BOBBY MADDEN was supposed to take charge of Celtic’s game against Ross County this evening in Dingwall but there was a late call-off without immediate explanation.

We now understand the referee is having to isolate after being deemed a close contact of another official, David Roome. The pair were part of a team that officiated a match in Greece last week.

Celtic know all about call-offs due to the pandemic, but this is a first that a referee will not make the Hoops game because of it.

It’s been a strange season where nothing has been normal about our football.

We can only hope for better times where we don’t have to worry about the virus when it comes to matchday and the fans can get back into the ground to support the side.

Celtic fans have watched on in despair as their season unravelled with no real opportunity to help or vent, apart from on social media.
