Celtic loanee Conor Hazard will have to wait to make his competitive league debut for current side HJK Helsinki after his red card suspension was carried over from his last outing in a Hoops shirt.

The Northern Irishman headed off to Finland in hope of earning first-team minutes after falling behind the pecking order with the arrival of Joe Hart in the summer.
However, he will need to wait for those competitive minutes to get fully underway after a suspension picked up in Scotland, carried over to Finland, meaning he will miss the opening day of the campaign.
The most frustrating aspect for Hazard will be that it was never a red card in the first place, with the referee having been conned into giving a penalty (which the foul was also outside the box for) and sending the young stopper off in the process.

Hazard has enjoyed a busy pre-season with his new side and will be hopeful of getting off and running from next week once his suspension comes to an end.
Having not had much in the way of first-team minutes this season, this move is precisely what Hazard needs at the stage of his career, particularly if he wants to remain with the Hoops.
It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the goalkeeper. But for now, I am sure he will just be looking forward to making his league debut in the coming weeks.
