Former Rangers and current Dundee midfielder Charlie Adam has called out the Green Brigade for being ’embarrassing’ after their banner and statement that was released on to social media, displaying the frustration of many supporters.

Speaking on PLZ Soccer, Adam has said that this subsequent statement was only represented a ‘small minority’. However, I believe it is the exact opposite and it is more of a large majority who agree with what was said in the statement yesterday.

“They talk about Peter Lawwell’s made £3.5m, yeah [sic]? That’s bonuses from Champions League football. Absolutely he should getting that, he runs a huge industry of football. If they two lads had to walk out of Celtic Football Club, Celtic would be in a bad, bad situation.”

“I think the statement’s embarrassing… small minority, the rest will be embarrassed by that statement. That’s not how Celtic deal with things.

“[The Green Brigade] have to take a look at themselves. They’re letting Celtic Football Club down.”

In the last few years, the fan group may have done stuff that people do and don’t agree with. It has to be said though, in my opinion, and based on other responses on social media, they have hit the nail on the head with this one.

At the minute the club really isn’t in a great place, with all that is going on, not off but also on the pitch.

The Green Brigade say it right. We have put hundreds if not thousands of pounds into this club and currently, we aren’t getting anything back and are just be told to hope we can turn this around. Something needs to change and needs to change fast before this season is possibly out of sight for us which is too big a risk to take.
