Celtic’s Thursday night hosts have sent a classy tweet after Copenhagen and Celtic played out a 1-1 draw in Denmark.
The bhoys took the lead in the first half and should have added more before Copenhagen hit back and then applied the pressure in the second half.
Celtic were happy to leave with a draw in the end after a penalty awarded by VAR gave Copenhagen the chance to take a 2-1 lead to Celtic Park.
After the game, the club’s official social media thanked Celtic and said it was a pleasure.
Dear @CelticFC
It was a pleasure to host you tonight. We look forward to visiting you for another exiting match. Have a safe trip home. #uel #fcklive https://t.co/VbuBYebh9F— F.C. København (@FCKobenhavn) February 20, 2020
Celtic have the away goal but know that can be quickly erased next Thursday if they don’t do the fundamentals right. The bhoys were in good form in the first half but for some reason we fell apart in the second.
Hopefully with 60k behind us, we can make it through to the last 16.
Still enjoying quality craic in Copenhagen city centre-they have been great hosts-very friendly
Fair play-Copenhagen and their fans have treated the Celtic fans with respect and have totally welcomed us into their city and helped create a fantastic atmosphere in Copenhagen today
