Celtic went a bit crazy over the past two seasons bringing in loan players. While the majority of the loan players proved to be a success, some fans feel it’s not good long term business for the club.

One long term loan signing, Daniel Arzani is just returning to the fore after a knee injury ended the young Australians chances at Celtic last season. The player was only making his debut at Dundee but found himself stretchered off and his season-ending before it had begun.

Brendan Rodgers signed the player for two years from Manchester City, City snapped the player up after he impressed a worldwide audience with his performance for the Socceroo’s in the World Cup.

Neil Lennon does not seem to have the same philosophy about loan signings as Brendan Rodgers but surely Lennon can’t ignore the talent and potential Arzani has. The player was talking to Wide World Of Sports about his injury and more importantly about his future.

With the retirement of Aussie favourite Tim Cahill, both Tom Rogic and Daniel Arzani have big boots to try and fill. But the youngster is setting his sights on stamping his attacking skills on his national team.

“I’d like to think that I could take on that role as a key attacker in the squad,”

“But that decision is obviously Arnie’s. For me, I’ve just got to focus now on getting my knee right, getting my body right and getting to full fitness and hopefully performing at a high enough level to be considered for that.”

The attacker is back training with the Celtic first team and could very easily be a hidden gem for Neil Lennon this season. It was not too long ago he lit up the Asian Cup and the World cup. Hopefully, his injury has not set him back too far.

  1. You can only give 14 players game time in any game so for min you need keepers any one of 3 defenders any 3 or 4 or 5 of 8 midfielders any 3 or 4 or 5 of 8 forwards any 1 or 2 of 4…
    And that totals 23 players
And another 10 players as back up keeper 1/defenders 4/midfielders 4/ forward 1…

I do think game time for Daniel Arzani will be hard to get unless he is bloody good at what he does….
