NEIL LENNON started this whole thing off and he looks determined to make sure Celtic get to ten in a row by declaring he would be open to taking the reigns at Leicester as interim boss until Leicester find the man they want to go forward.

The former Leicester player is still thought of fondly down that neck of the woods and with Claude Puel being given his marching orders, could the Irishman facilitate the club and stop the constant speculation surrounding Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers.

Everyone and their auntie in the press today seem to be promoting the idea of Brendan Rodgers getting out of town as soon as possible to take on the ‘attractive’ job in Leicester.

The manager himself refused to be drawn on speculation, just like he has refused to be drawn on it in the past and pretty much since he got to Celtic.

The discontent of last summers transfer window is the catalyst for many saying Brendan wants out of the club this summer. If that were true, there could be a genuine scenario where Neil Lennon takes on the Leicester job and in the summer him and Rodgers trade positions – outlandish, yes but not Chinese clubs coming in for your players outlandish.

If anything Neil Lennon is throwing his hat into the ring which would see Celtic be able to focus firmly on grabbing eight in a row and a potential treble treble.
