CELTIC summer signing Lewis Morgan has been linked with a move away from the club in January after reports down south suggested his former St Mirren manager, Jack Ross is interested in taking him down south.

Morgan was signed by Celtic last January but was immediately sent back out on loan to St Mirren where Morgan and Ross helped win the title and promotion to the Premier League.

When Sunderland came calling in the summer, Ross couldn’t turn it down, and at the time there was a little speculation about morgan maybe going out on loan to the Stadium of Light straight away.

However, Brendan Rodgers and Lewis at the time were keen to stress his immediate future was at Parkhead.

The first half of the season has seen Morgan get limited opportunities with the emergence of Ryan Christie, James Forrest’s form and Sinclair’s place in the side unchecked at times.

There could be an excellent opportunity for Lewis to go out on loan this January with the hopes he can get first team experience and get ready to break through into the Celtic team next term.

It’s very doubtful Rodgers would sanction the full sale of the player and would only welcome a January exit if it were temporary.
