It was late on Sunday night when Craig Gordon confirmed he wouldn’t be returning to Celtic and by Monday morning he has been confirmed as a Hearts player.

The goalkeeper spent five years at Celtic and helped the bhoys to unprecedented success.

Falling down the the pecking order over the past 18-months, Gordon was not offered anything near his old deal to stay on with Celtic and admitted his frustration at his dealings with Celtic this summer.

Hearts are right now, a championship club unless a court decides they have to be reinstated into the league.

It’s pretty likely Craig will help spearhead the Jambos attempts are promotion next season and bounce back at the first time of asking.

With Hearts pleasing poverty and putting a massive £8m compensation claim against the SPFL, they’ve managed to land a major signing. If the club have been damaged by relegation, they’re not showing much damages.
