CRAIG LEVEIN is excited for VAR to be introduced to the Scottish game as he believes it will stop the top two teams earning unfair decisions.

The pundit claims that Celtic and The Rangers won’t benefit from the introduction of VAR; he got half of that statement right.

As quoted by the Daily Express, the former Jambo’s manager believes that currently, the crowd can buy Celtic a dodgy decision from the officials by intimidating the referee and his assistants. I’m not sure he’s watched Celtic this season; a good performance from the man in the middle is a rare sighting. Levein claimed;

“I think it’s a great thing for Scottish football but maybe not so good for the Old Firm.”

When asked why he thought that, Levein replied: “Hmm, well, why do you think?

“In my time in Scottish football, I’ve been involved in matches where I feel the Old Firm have been given more than their fair share of decisions, based on crowd noise and intimidation.

“Referees are human beings, and if you come under pressure like you do at those two grounds, then it’s in human nature that you’re more likely to do the thing that calms everything down.

“And that’s give a 50/50 decision to one of those teams.”

If anything, the best thing about the introduction of VAR is that pundits, like Craig, won’t be able to make cheap digs and start a false narrative against Celtic.

Hundreds of decisions have wrongly gone against Celtic last season, and the likelihood is that these decisions will keep going against the team this season.

What stupid accusation does Craig Levein have lined up next?

  1. Yet one more ‘let’s lump the religious decide back together.’ Well naw Craigie, yer arse is oot yer windae. Don’t you know Sevco was formed when the big hoose went bust, was then liquidated, then shut Doon, and all the blue performing clowns shed a tear at its demise. Strange though, fae a bloke who once played a Six, four, formation at Hampden. Yea pigs fly in Helicopters yae know big hied.
