It’s being reported, if Celtic want Moi Elyounoussi on a permanent deal this summer it will cost them a cut price of £5m to get a deal done for the winger.

Moi is neck and neck with Odsonne Edouard for top scorer even though he’s in and out of the team and played several different systems.

Some fans think he’s not been good enough, but try working under less than ideal conditions and still run up a great return.

Football Insider report Southampton are willing to take a massive hit on Moi’s original fee which stood at around £16m.

Celtic and their continual change of system is something which would need to be addressed for even £5m to be worth the investment. In Celtic’s current form, I don’t believe it would be prudent to shell that amount of cash on Moi when he’s in and out of the team depending on the formation.

It’s likely the player won’t return to Celtic, but I certainly wouldn’t be an advocate for keeping Moi with Neil Lennon at the helm.

I think a better, more astute tactical manager could get the very best out of the Norwegian.
