CELTIC have had a lot of interest in their players this summer which was expected considering some of the great talent we have at the club.

When it comes to transfers and interest, the club keeps its cards close to its chest most of the time. Not wanting to put valuations on players into the public domain makes sense so they are in the best possible shape if they do have to thrash out terms with another club over some of their prized assets.

However, the Daily Record has thrown caution to the wind and has done Celtic’s job for them. According to the paper, they know the valuation of every single player linked with a move away from Celtic Park. Graeme Young writes:

Record Sport Online reminds you of the players who have been linked with a move away and the valuation Celtic have placed on the players listed.

So here are their valuations, listed like a cheat guide for someone playing Football Manager:

  • Kieran Tierney – £25m
  • Callum McGregor – £20m
  • Tom Rogic – £15m
  • Olivier Ntcham – £15m
  • Scott Sinclair – £2m
  • Liam Morrison – N’A
  • Lewis Morgan – Loan

A healthy £77m profit for the bhoys if they offload their stars this summer. However, how and they have come to these figures remains a mystery. Has someone at Celtic told them? Are they taking an educated guess with the teams who are reportedly linked with them and the importance of the player to Celtic at the minute?

Is it just me who thinks Sinclair’s fee is too low? The lad is on the last year of his contract but if there was real interest in the Englishman, he should be going for more than just £2m.

  1. Apart from Sinclair,s price being too high and McGregor’s too low how can anyone connected with Celtic give this rag any credence whatsoever. Boycot this rag now! Hail hail

  2. The Daily Record for football is a wind up no one reads into any thing they say its paper selling talk do they ever get much right…lets say those prices are starting prices but Celtic have no need to sell any one if all parties are happy..

  3. Record is littered with DOB writers all spouting shie to stop the 10. Besides, the only one i would not sell is Calmac. Now seems a given that KT will go. How anyone would pay a decent sum for Rojic is beyond me.
