ANGE POSTECOGLOU was forced to take Daizen Maeda off at half-time after the winger picked up a self-inflicted knock during the first half.

The manager has confirmed it’s nothing serious, and there is no cause for concern, meaning at the moment, he’s not ruled out of Celtic’s trip to Killie next weekend.

Speaking to The Celtic Way Ange Postecoglou eased concerns, stating;

“He got a bit of a knock, but he’s OK. It’s nothing serious. He’ll be fine.”

The Jota/Maeda Problem

That’s great news for Ange, who loves using Maeda out on the wing. However, it’s hard to ignore Jota’s performance level stepping up when he moved over to the left wing. He’s unplayable on his preferred side, meaning his ability is wasted on the right.

Hopefully, the boss has a plan to allow Jota to perform at his best.

After switching wings, Jota was able to impact the game directly. He set up two goals, one for Kyogo and one for Jenz.

But, saying that, it’s hard to ignore Maeda’s work on the wing, and taking him out completely could be a big loss for the side.
