Former Celtic loan player, Daniel Arzani is reportedly set to be moving on to another loan spell, after a less than successful two year stay at Celtic.

According to The World Game, the Manchester City winger is set to join an unnamed ‘mid-table’ Eredivise side.

The Australian came with a lot of hype to the club in 2018, after breaking out for his National Side, alongside current Celtic player Tom Rogic, at the Russia World Cup that year.

After signing for Man City that summer he was loaned straight to the Hoops on a two-year loan deal.

With Arzani still being such a young age when he joined, then manager, Brendan Rodgers decided to give him time to settle in, by playing and training with the reserves.

Of course, he was extremely unlucky when he finally did break through, tearing his ACL on his debut against Dundee, meaning he would be out of action for up to 15 months.

He did of course make one single substitute appearance this season, coming on in the Scottish Cup for a very brief spell against Partick Thistle.

It would have been nice to see a young talent like Arzani succeed at Celtic but he was so unlucky with injuries which saw him barely feature. After returning from injury, many hoped we may see more of a glance of the winger but unfortunately that wasn’t the case and it also wasn’t helped by the season finishing early due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hes still young, so fingers crossed we can still see Arzani go to Holland and kick on to become a great player who isn’t blighted by injuries.
