JOHN HARTSON made a rather staggering claim on Go Radio when he revealed after his 110 goals, trophy-laden stint at Celtic, he was offered a move to our Glasgow rivals.
John revealed David Murray actively phoned the Welshman after he had left Celtic and been there tormenter on derby day for many years, to see if he fancied another run in Glasgow.
For Hartson, there was no way he was willing to sell his time at Celtic down the river to come back to Glasgow.
Harrison joked Murray said he’d put him up in a safe house for the first derby game if he turned his back on Celtic.

If this was the case, John was coming to the end of his career and it would have looked like a publicity stunt more than anything.
His time at Celtic was special and he remains a Celtic fan to this day so it was never going to be on the cards. It’s a strange one.
