Most Celtic fans can agree David Turnbull has been one of the shining lights this season and is player any new coach will be delighted to inherit.

However, yet again on Sunday, the midfielder was substituted off when the game was still there to be won.

It was a common theme under Neil Lennon and now John Kennedy is continuing the tradition.

The player has made 32 appearances for the club this season and has only played the full 90 minutes on 6 occasions. You could understand at the start of the season why that would be the case because the player had come back from a long term injury, but this deep into the season, surely it’s not a fitness issue.

The decision to take the midfielder off when he was doing plenty on the ball and keep Ryan Christie on who was largely forgettable in another Derby was a decision that so many questioned on Sunday.

What exactly is going on and why can’t David play a full 90 minutes on a regular basis?
