Former Celtic player and Sky Sports pundit Davie Provan has blasted the Hoops board for their part in the club’s recent downfall.

As quoted by Glasgow Live speaking on Go Radio, Provan believes that the board have been behind one of the club’s worst-ever downfalls, in terms of an advantage on and off the field with rivals Rangers.

“10 In A Row looked like an absolute stick-on and looked like a procession.

“And there is no doubt that’s how the board of directors saw it and I am afraid it’s the board that has to take every ounce of flak because they certainly deserve it.

“They have thrown away an advantage that no Celtic board in history have enjoyed in terms of financial dominance over Rangers.

“And somehow they have taken them into a position where they are already underdogs for next season.”

Provan has always been strong in his claims and belief against some of the actions of the club in recent months.

We now find ourselves 100 days without a manager, despite pre-season being just around the corner.

Last season was nothing short of a disaster and many fans couldn’t wait for it to be over at points.

At this stage, it feels like we are still in last season with some of the poor decisions being made.

Something needs to change and it needs to change fast, as crucial fixtures are literally just weeks away as we prepare to head into the 2021/22 season.
