Neil Lennon has poured cold water over Vakoun Bayo leaving before the deadline this evening claiming the only way he’ll let the frontman leave is if he were to get another striker in the door.

The Irishman’s change of formation to a 3-5-2 means having four strikers on the books becomes more essential.

If it was just the usual one striker flanked by two wingers then Bayo might have headed out.

“The only way Bayo would go is if we brought another one in. I want to run with four strikers.”Lennon told RecordSport.

Celtic have brought in two players this window – the minimum Neil Lennon wanted and with the deadline at midnight this evening there’s no deals on the horizon at the moment.

Neil would obviously like to get some experience through the door but the January window is notoriously tough for getting players in.

Patryk Klimala has come in, along with Ismaila Soro. Patryk has gotten a little bit of game time while Soro needs to get up to speed before he makes his debut.
