CELTIC were linked with everyone and their Auntie during this summer’s transfer window.

With the need for defensive reinforcements great, any whiff of a decent defender being available in some capacity had fans reaching for their twitter machines and messaging Celtic to get a deal done.

There was one link that split the support from the start, but as the transfer window wore on, it became more of an attractive proposition for some.

Out of Contract John Terry’s name came up several times with the club.

With Boyata awol and injury woes, Celtic were and are still a little thin when it comes to defender’s who can play.

Bringing in Filip Benkovic has eased concerns but should key injuries occur then Celtic could have a problem.

John Terry was expected to seal a big money deal to Spartak Moscow in the past few days, but the deal has now seemingly collapsed at the very last minute leaving the former England star without a club.

According to reports down south, the player is now assessing his options, but there may already be an offer on the table from his former club Aston Villa.

Should Celtic have a conversation with the 37-year-old or should he be left very well alone?

  1. He is was to be involved in some capacity as a player/coach role, then I think his experience would be invaluable to the likes of youngsters like Ajer, Ralston and Hendry. Especially on the training ground.

  2. The guy is still a class act and would easily be the best defender in the league hopping on 1 leg. He’s also a natural born leader and would organise that defence and there would be no more silly schoolbhoy goals given away. This for me is a no brainer, however, I think if it were going to happen it would have been done during the window as Terry is a self confessed Celtic fan
