Celtic defender Greg Taylor has provided an update on his recent injury issues, which forced him to have surgery.

Posting to his Instagram story, the left-back stated that the surgery for his shoulder injury, which he has struggled with over the past month, went well, and he is now on the road to recovery.

Going down with the same injury in both the AZ Alkmaar and Ross County games, it was suspected that Taylor would find himself on the sidelines due to those knocks for a little while, with that issue cropping up on multiple occasions.

That leaves Adam Montgomery, Liam Scales and yesterday’s surprise inclusion – Boli Bolingoli, to battle it out for that left-back spot.

At this stage, it is up for grabs for all three to nail down a starting role in that area, with Postecoglou likely to test a couple of the options in the next few fixtures.

It is unknown exactly how long Taylor will found himself out for, but it will be interesting to see why Ange’s number one left-back will be when he returns and if he can win that spot back.
