It’s being reported tonight that Jack Hendry has signed a three-year deal with Oostende after the Belgian club chose to trigger the £1.7m option in his contract.

Jack turned his career around in Belgium last season leading to calls for Celtic to take a second look. However, there’s been nobody at the club to give Hendry any assurances he would be given a chance. Celtic are still to announce their new manager and Hendry has clearly had enough of waiting.

RecordSport confirmed the three-year deal with Oostende likely to flip Jack for a profit this summer.

The Scottish defender has many suitors and the Belgian club have played a blinder in raising the player’s value and now could reap a tidy profit.

Celtic have got the money back they invested in Hendry from Dundee which looked impossible last summer.

We wish Jack all the best for the future. Sometimes a player just doesn’t suit a clubs

  1. Sometimes a club haven’t the wisdom, coaching and management to recognise and nourish talent. So many examples recently and it is a disgrace!
