Celtic striker Albian Ajeti has insisted any claims of him being a diver are false after the Swiss frontman was freed of his simulation charge a few days ago.

Speaking in his press conference, after last nights 4-0 victory and ahead of Sunday’s fixture against St Johnstone, Ajeti was asked multiple times about his charge from the compliance officer. However, he insisted that is not who he is as a football player.

A lot of Celtic were surprised to see the 23-year old charged for diving for winning a penalty against Kilmarnock in the first 4-0 win within the space of a week because it was clear to see from the footage that although you may think the penalty that was given was soft there was contact.

Ajeti has come into the side over the past few weeks as Celtic began to have one eye on next season, building the likes of him and Welsh to be ready and settled.

So far, he has put in some good displays and last night he added to that in a different way Not in front of goal but with more of the dirty work. Week by week he seems to be settling a little more, fingers crossed we can see him in full flow soon enough.

  1. Only in Scotland Albian. The SFA are poo-pooing their panties if VAR comes in. Let’s face it even the SFA don’t trust the referees to get it right. The whole game is bolloxed. A committee of three refs, deciding what their pals on the pitch did, is right or wrong. It’s hookey, the ba’s on the slates. Fitba is deid, the looneys are running the asylum.
