Ronny Deila has confirmed that Izaguirre required stitches after a training ground incident with team-mate Nadir Ciftci.
The incident happened after Nadir was subject to a hard challenge by the left back. The players then had an altercation, but it has since been put to bed.
This is the last thing Ronny would have wanted after having to put out several fires due to Kris Commons’ outburst last week after being subbed.
The Celtic squad at the moment seems far from harmonious, but it didn’t show last weekend when they hammered Dundee Utd 5-0 while extending their lead at the top of the table.
The manager isn’t worried about this latest incident.
“I always say to my players that I want 100 per cent at training and it’s been fantastic lately,” Deila said. “Sometimes it gets a little bit hot.”
