This is a question that has never stopped being asked since Moussa Dembele joined the club – Leigh or Moussa.

Tonight it holds more significance as whoever gets the nod will go up against a formidable Bayern Munich side.

Leigh has the match sharpness while Dembele hasn’t really got going this season yet due to injury. Leigh started up front in Belgium and got the first goal of the evening, will this factor into Rodgers thinking?

Starting Moussa comes with promise; the promise that he could do something magical like he did against City last season, and his physical ability to give defenders a hard time are attributes you can’t ignore.

That’s why it will be very interesting to see who the Celtic manager thinks will give him the best chance of a result in Munich.

However, the majority of Celtic fans have already made up their mind and they seem to be leaning towards Leigh Griffiths.

  1. Ironic that Muller gets away with a red card tackle on Scott Brown and then scores the opener. Referee was invisible for 90 minutes.

Craig Gordon might make the occasional dramatic save but these are no use when you’ve let three in. We need a new goalie and definitely not DeVries who should have been chased last season. Too much loyalty from Brendan to rehabilitate failures who are liabilities.

Football pundits on tv keep decrying the backward passing game. We cant seem to get enough. It’s not Celtic football and will be our downfall.

Armstrong is a passenger who looked grossly unfit. He can go in January and bring the failed Dundee United adventure to an end.

Scott Sinclair really owes us a game. He should have been taken off rather than Roberts. James Forrest must wonder what he needs to do. Similarly McGregor.

Hope we can recover in time for Saturday.

    One step forward …
