Former Celtic loanee and young player of the season Jason Denayer has signed a new 5-year deal with Manchester City after a month of negotiations.
The young defender who was a revelation for Celtic last season has the world at his feet and showed enough to the Man City hierarchy that he was worth a bumper new deal.
Denayer loved his time at Celtic but always admitted his main goal was to force his way into the Man City first team, he can now look to establish himself after showing he can handle first team football on a regular basis.
He does not look out of place among the other Man City defenders and Vincent Kompany believes his fellow countryman has what it takes to succeed.
Denayer will now fly out to join the senior squad for pre-season training in Australia.
