Another Glasgow Derby fixture that ends in defeat this season. In the majority of these games, we have come away with the same feeling of disappointment and it simply hasn’t been good enough.

The worst part about it all is the chances we had in the second half were enough to win that game but it really sums up our season.

Edouard’s penalty miss and glorious opportunity with effectively an open goal, Mohamed Elyounoussi taking a heavy touch at the worse possible moment, Stephen Welsh misjudging the flight of the cross in the first half and effectively doing the defensive work for Rangers.

Decision making and the chances we have missed cost us time and time again.

This squad of players used to be filled with winners who had the sort of mentality to win any game domestically.

That is simply not the case anymore and they now look completely lost out on the pitch, without any sort of ideas.

Going into next season, in the state we are in is an incredibly scary thought at this stage in time.

  1. Eddys trick penalties are BORING. Tommy Gemmel is rolling in his grave. Spank the ball into the net. If the goalie touches it he gets an injury.
We have to watch while the penalty meister tells others to sod off and lets Alki make a mug of him. The only man who was the exception was Henrik.
Bye, Bye Eddy. At this rate we’ll be lucky to get the £9M back we paid for him.
    Too highly overrated.

  2. Celtic always started cup games (and derbies) with a attacking formation. Then as the game progresses adapt to the play. But yet again, count how many long baws were played. How many players in the last third. And how many attacking/forwards thinking players were picked todays fixture?? As usual sevco got handed goals. Celtic players did not care about the result.
So I suppose neither did the directors.
Never mind massaging previous wins over ten or twenty years. The time for change should have been in 2018.
This team had shot its bolt, this management team and group of Celtic moneymen have also.
