Celtic are at a crossroads with little room for error. If they appoint the wrong man for the job now it could set us back years.

If they get it spot on, our title comes back home next season.

We’ve got very little right since Brendan Rodgers left the club. It worries me that Peter Lawwell is also part of the group picking the next Celtic boss. Our majority shareholder claimed this was the case.

Who is in charge of the process?
The Chairman Ian Bankier, Peter Lawwell and myself take a lead in the process, and naturally, the incoming CEO will also participate. Any decision made will require Board approval.

What is Peter’s role? Why is he having a say? And what qualifies Ian Bankier to pick a new set up?

The CEO will walk out of Celtic Park for the last time in June 30th and with his feet come off the Celtic way he is back to being a Celtic fan, a civilian.

Peter should be able to suggest names but his input should stop there. The two men who should be leading the charge are Dermot Desmond and Dominic McKay.

These are the men who will be in charge of the clubs fortunes and only they can influence this.

If we get a Peter Lawwell appointment when he’s not sticking around, it just doesn’t make sense. The last manager Peter should be associated with hiring is Neil Lennon, in the showers of Hampden.

  1. Desmonds problem seems to be his ego cant admit he made a monumental f*ckup appointing Pedro, and then he doubled down on the f*ckup by not dealing with him.

Once yi start to see Desmonds actions through the lens of a millionaire plaything and his delicate ego, it all becomes clear.
Remember this is the man that only a few months ago said that the manager who was appointed in the Hampden park sbowers! Had a team that would beat the Seville team – doubles down on his mistake again, cos whats more important to him is being right, not doing the right thing….
