Derry City Midfielder Heading For Celtic Trial

Reports from Ireland claim Derry City midfielder Michael Duffy will have a trial with Celtic next week as Ronny Deila looks to strengthen his squad in January.

The 20 year old scored 16 goals for Derry City last season and is already been tipped as Derry City’s biggest prospect.

If Michael did make the move, he would follow players like Niall McGinn and Paddy McCourt who have came over to Celtic in recent times from Derry. Both didn’t cut it at Celtic Park in the long run but they were talented bhoys.

Ronny Deila will run the rule over the young lad in the next week or two.

Derry have recently signed the player to a two year deal so there would be a fee involved if he manages to impress.
