Celtic signed Cameron Carter-Vickers on loan from Spurs after a deal was struck very late in the window.

The American will now join up with the club and get to work ahead of the domestic restart after the international break.

Celtic have been tracking the player for quite a while and an opportunity came very late in the day for Cameron to make the switch to Celtic.

The Hoops will have an option to buy the centre-back in the summer if impresses.

The 23-year-old has been at Spurs since he was eleven but before he made the move to the London club, he played for a boys club called Catholic Utd who wore green and white hoops.

After the deal went through, his old club congratulated the defender and claimed he was destined to wear the hoops.

Celtic made three deadline signings in the end and will be hoping all three can make a big contribution for the rest of the season.

  1. Don’t know anything about the guy but hope he can be strong in defence and prevent losing terrible goals. Glad Christie and Eddy are gone. They clearly don’t want to play for Celtic. Last season the two of them and Ajer were amongst the main contributors to what was apparently a toxic atmosphere at the club. They wanted out and have got what they wished for. But Brentford, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth (!). Probably not exactly what they desired. Maybe they are not as good as they think they are. Good luck to them.

  2. In my opinion Edouard was the worst offender, at least Christie and Ayer tried to earn their wages ; he Edouard didn’t he sulked and was mentally and physically gone! Shows no point in keeping those who want away. I hope the grass is really greener for them!!!

  3. I hope that Cameron Carter-Vickers is hard liner and puts himself around on that pitch Christie and Eddy have got what they wanted in teams with not much hope of winning things maybe better wages but as old age sets in they will look back at there best years and find that was at Celtic,i just wished they had moved on before we played them,Eddy what about that miss a kid could have put that in,Christie you must have set them up on attack more than twice and your poor shot at there goal maybe you both new you were going but men see it over the line in the job before they go..

  4. Apologies, but I must point this out:

There = over that way, over there etc etc.
Their = their ball, their house, ie belonging to them.

Two different spellings, two different meanings.
