CELTIC have made their first signing of the January window by bringing young Oliver Burke in on loan for the rest of the season.

The lad has accumulated £30million in transfer fees at just the age of 21 and is now looking to kick on and develop.

Celtic seized on an opportunity to bring the Scottish international and it can only be good news for the Celtic dressing room.

With loan deals though, the inevitable questions pop up about first refusal and if there’s any scope for having the player longer than the initial agreed upon loan period.

Celtic’s loan deal will NOT come with an option to buy the midfielder after the initial period.

The player will also be expected back in Birmingham come the summer after Celtic’s season is over as West Brom’s Official Website told their fans.

Although Burke has not been getting a lot of game time for WBA, they still have high hopes for the attacking midfielder and don’t want to prematurely sell the start they put £15million down for just last year.

However, should Oli do well at Celtic and West Brom see an opportunity there could always be scope for a longer deal.

That would certainly be up to both clubs to thrash out.
