Former Celtic loanee Diego Laxalt is set to depart parent club AC Milan this summer.

The left-back had far from the greatest stint during his time in Glasgow and this has clearly convinced the Serie A side that it is time to move the Uruguayan on, according to Sempre Milan via Italian outlet Tuttosport.

At first, Laxalt got off to a good start as a Celtic player. Despite some poor result as a team, the left-back looked to be somewhat of a ‘shining light’ in a very short spell at the start.

One game that comes to mind is away in the Europa League to French champions Lille.

After this short spell though, his time at the club went downhill and shared the fullback position with Greg Taylor.

What didn’t help were some of the performances that Laxalt put in which were extremely disappointing as a lot of the side was last season.

Who knows where he might end up next when moved on by Milan. One thing is for sure, it almost certainly will not be Celtic.

  1. He was utter garbage. Did he not give the ball away 20-odd times in the first derby of the season. I must have missed the ‘shining light’ performances. Does shining light not mean shite but not as shitey as the previous game. Or it is rhyming slang for what he is. 3rd division semi-pro in Italy by October.
