There’s no word if Celtic will try to make the loan deal permanent this summer but if they do, they’ll be boosted by the fact Milan are willing to take a cut price fee for Diego Laxalt.
The Italian club had no plans for Diego upon his return to the San Siro after this season and will listen to offers for the Left-back.
Diego burst onto the Celtic scene but had levelled out lately in his performances. While he had a decent Glasgow Derby game, the stats showed he lost possession more than 20 times during the game.
He did make an incredible tackle in the first half to keep Alfredo Morelos at bay. His ball winning and tackling are his biggest assets.
Sky sports man Anthony Joseph has revealed Milan want to offload the player which could be to Celtic’s gain.
On-loan Celtic left-back Diego Laxalt could be available on a cut-price deal in the summer.
There is no option-to-buy clause in his deal.
AC Milan valued him at £9m in October. But they want to offload him permanently in the summer and are open to lowering their price tag.

There have been reports Diego sees himself in the EPL next season, but you just never know. If the Uruguayan can finish the campaign strong, it might be something Celtic look at when the summer window opens.
Worth a punt (if Celtic pay that?) if not, better get looking quick for two left back replacements. And a right back, a centre back. And a striking midfielder. And a new manager. As Neil Lennons tenature will end after ‘The night of the long knifes’ for the directors. Both may come at the end of this campaign. Or the Reichstag may be set on fire by the political wing of the Green Nursery.
Cut price from 9mill I would guess would be around 5 or 6mill, mibbi?
I would have a go at that.
He doesn’t want to stay at Celtic that’s pretty clear
