Former BBC presenter Jim Spence has branded Celtic a disgrace for not accommodating away fans after taking over 7k supporters to Livingston at the weekend.
Celtic have not had any away supporters in the ground this season – the club are citing the red zone implemented for the safety of staff and players as the reason for no away fans.
The Hoops are currently relocating season ticket holders in the red zone area around the stadium.
As Dundee Utd are told they can’t have supporters inside the ground on Sunday – Spence felt compelled to speak out on the matter and didn’t mince his words.
This is a disgrace from @CelticFC an absolute joke. https://t.co/sXZvDJKOpO

VERDICT
Celtic have to find a way to accommodate away supporters as the season goes on. Fans shouldn’t be excluded from games just like Celtic fans shouldn’t be excluded from away grounds around the country.
Celtic’s ticket setup comes across as archaic and not fit for purpose. From experience – they can’t even relocate supporters in a timely basis with a back log they’ve not dealt with.
The ticket office is understaffed and they still work out of a portacabin – it’s not fitting for a club the size of Celtic.
