Ange Postecoglou made a funny comment on Friday afternoon when he was asked about the change of management at Ibrox.

The Australian has always been very clear when it comes to other clubs — he’s not interested. He’s asked about Celtic and depending on the ilk of the question he’ll give you the answer.

When the Celtic manager is asked about non-Celtic things, he rightfully doesn’t entertain the question.

It was not surprise the Hoops gaffer replied to the Michael Beale question saying he gave it less thought than what’s he was having for dinner on Friday night. A funny little sound bite for Celtic fans who enjoy when Ange has a bit of fun at a daft question.

However, the Daily Record attempted to stir the pot yesterday when it came to the comments. They put out a bad faith question onto Twitter asking if Ange was being ‘disrespectful’ towards Rangers and Beale by replying the way he did.

Everyone who isn’t dense knows what Ange’s angle was when it came to the question. He’s been around long enough for everyone to know his character, the respect he has for his counterparts and the way he conducts himself.

To even put that question out there to suggest he was being disrespectful is blatant pot stirring by the same paper who still pulls out the ‘Record hotline’ which pits the most juvenile and obsessed supporters from both ends of Glasgow against one an other for clicks.

Some in the media talk about football supporters being petty while egging it on. A swing and a miss from the newspaper on this occasion.

  1. It’s baffling to me that there are still Celtic fans buying that low quality lavvy paper let alone calling the “Hotline”. Have they no self-respect? If the GB want a new focus for a campaign how about leaflets on every seat saying “DON’T BUY THE RECORD/SUN/EXPRESS/DAILY MAIL etc.” with examples to show how these scummy rags hate us…

    • The only campaign the GB needs to start is for themselves to stop behaving like spolied brats and support the team instead of the IRA,and cut out the attention-seeking banners which cost the club a fortune.

  2. IQ level of a reader. The Record is still showing that shit, are there more doors than wheels.
Don’t read it but have glance to notice the stories are slant at 89% towards the newco.
