CELTIC Reserves ran out 4-1 winners at Cappielow after initially going behind in the reserve league tie.

There were a few surprises in the starting XI with Dorus de Vries, Marvin Compper, Scott Allan and Vakoun Bayo all starting the game for a young Hoops side.

Bayo will be in there to get match fitness but the other three are all outsiders at the club and haven’t been seen in action for the developmental squad before with the exception of Scott Allan.

Falkirk took the lead through Shayne Lavery after just 18 minutes but that would be the Bairns only goal of the game as Celtic took control.

Aitchison put the Bhoys back on level terms just before the break and they never looked back. If people were talking about the surprise inclusions before the match instead of Armstrong Oko-Flex, the player made sure everyone was talking about him by the end with a 25-yard belter from the former Arsenal trainee.

Aitchison then grabbed his second of the day and Celtic’s third to wrap up the points but the striker wasn’t done there and he also won a penalty for his side. Instead of letting Jack take it for his hat-trick, Oko-Flex stepped up and made it 4-1.

It was a good outing for the Bhoys with the youngsters stealing the limelight. Oko-Flex is fast becoming as exciting a talent as Karamoko Dembele in terms of potential.

Bayo got a solid hour and looked lively but ultimately didn’t get on the score sheet.

  1. Well that’s certainly good news for the future,IF only thee most powerful club in Scotland,CFC?managed to motivate itself from inaction to do something about the corrupt to the core governing body and the equally biased and corrupt refereeing organisation, well, maybe then we could all look forward to a brighter, greener and whiter future.✅
There’ll be hellova lot of ‘honest mistakes’ made from here forward,so to attain the THE TEN We’ll need a good run of good luck as well as the work put in on the pitch and in training.
    HH?
