Everybody would have assumed today’s game at Paradise would result with maximum points taken at the expense of Livingston. Everybody is now disappointed. While it is only a matter of when and not if, the style of play the last couple of months has been flat and that is been kind.

Lennon said during the week that he has not implemented any of his own changes in the team since Rodgers left. He is only interested in getting results and pushing two more trophies over the line at the season’s end.

Lennon should know better than anyone that the majority of Celtic fans will want more than just scraping over the line. Maybe he needs to implement some of his ideas around the final third if he has any.

Despite being 14 points clear now today’s result will push back the league title until the end of April. That’s assuming the second place team wins their games. If the Rangers win their next two games it would mean Celtic would need to wait at least until they meet Kilmarnock at Paradise on 27th of April.

In fairness, Celtic could have had 3 or 4 goals today without playing that well, they are just missing that clinical finishing that fans have witnessed the last few seasons. The Livi goalkeeper was the man of the match today after he pulled off a string of really good saves.

Oli Burke could have made himself a Parkhead hero when a glorious chance fell to him in the 92nd minute. Don’t watch the replay if you are squeamish.
