CELTIC have announced the prices for Wednesday’s Europa League playoff tie against AZ Alkmaar and we’re delighted the club have chosen to freeze prices from the Jablonec came but also adding the extra incentive of under 13s going for just £1.

The club were heavily criticised for charging the fans on the first game back after an 18 month absence due to the pandemic. The support had propped up the club with major money while the doors were closed and many felt the one time gesture of free entry for the Europa tie on Thursday would have been a fitting way to welcome the fans back.

As it happened, Celtic charged the fans to get back in and of course we responded again with a sell out crowd.

It would have been easy for the club to hike the price of the Alkmaar game to around £25-£29 because it’s a playoff tie. Instead, they have kept the price at £19 for Adult season ticket holders, £13 for concessions and just £1 for under 13s.

Perhaps the board and more importantly Dom McKay was listening. The PR man was the subject of a Green brigade banner on Thursday evening – the group highlighting the absurdity of being charged after the long absence from the stadium.

Celtic will take on the Dutch side over two legs. The first game will be at Celtic Park on Wednesday 19:45KO. The away leg kick off time is still to be confirmed.

  1. Well done the Green Brigade for holding the boards feet to the fire.

As an aside i hope MoonBat, who posts on here has recovered from his eight booster jab. Seems the previous seven jabs didn’t work and he has the ‘virus’ again.

    What’s all that about?

  2. The Green Brigade here are a bunch of destabilising and entitled vermin. They have brought their protests into the stadium and this will only deflate the side, the players and the management. Shame on each and every last one of them. It’s time for the Celtic Da’s to take our club back from these politicising morons to young to remember being anything other than phone-zombies. You aren’t reinventing the wheel Green Brigade, the rest of us overthrew the old board but we did it when it was absolutely necessary and we didn’t destabilise a rebuilding job of our club. How dare you people. The players are in here us us, why not try to be in there for them too? I’ve supported the Green Brigade in the past but for this I’d clear out their section and ban the lotta them. If you want to complain sign a petition and send it to Dom discreetly. Keep your destabilising and your seeming right to crete atmosphere the hell out of my stadium.

    Red Scotland, out.

  3. Red Scotland, maybe Blue Hun… Talking rubbish mate, the board have shafted fans left right and centre, highlighting the issue is the correct way to go. Fans paying 600 quid for nothing last season and having to fork out for Europa league play off games?? You must be a happy clapper.

  4. Fantastic again from the Green Brigade last night, kept singing when the rest of the support decided to watch some tik tok videos on their phone.

Hopefully the entire area behind the goal will be a standing section in the near future, we need more supporters like those in the Green Brigade in the stadium and relocate the prawn sandwich #woke brigade back onto the streets where they belong. Shouldn’t they be following the ‘Womens team’? Isn’t that what being #woke is all about?

  5. The green brigade rightfully won’t sit on their hands when the plc board get it wrong and bhoy did they get it wrong when charging the support to get in the first full house when some sth had already had a free game the rest of us had to suck it up. Disgrace
    Well done Green brigade

  6. Too many entitled Tw*ts wanting free tickets and new signings.

How many players were signed on the back of free tickets ?
