Dominic McKay came into Celtic on April 19 as an official employee of the club.

However, a source has told CeltsAreHere.com that McKay has not truly started his role as chief executive at present. The former SRU man is currently getting an overview of the business – gaining an understanding of what’s in place and what needs to be changed.

Peter Lawwell is currently as active as ever as he gets prepared to sign off as the main man in 8 weeks time. It stands to reason Peter wants to ensure the club is left in good hands and all loose ends have been tied up as it pertains to his tenure.

McKay and Lawwell have both been active when it comes to our new manager. Both men have played a role in what looks like an Eddie Howe appointment in the coming days (hopefully not weeks).

McKay will take sole charge and 100% begin the nitty-gritty of his on July 1.

July is when the new era truly ushers in. Peter Lawwell ceasing to be an executive of the club, a position he has been in since 2003.

It’s onwards and upwards.
