Football Insider have claimed agents believe they can get their hands on Odsonne Edouard for around £8-10m this summer.
The Celtic striker has told the club he wants to leave this summer and given it’s the final year of his deal, the hoops are not going to get what they could have once fetched for the Frenchman.
However, £10m would be an absolute disaster for the club and perhaps not be worth letting the player go.
We’re not going to get anywhere near the level of talent we have in Edouard for that price. It will be up to Dominic McKay to make sure the Hoops don’t get short changed.
FI wrote Celtic were asking for £40m for the frontman last summer but Celtsarehere understands that price was quoted to club to make sure they kept a hold of Eddy and scared interested parties away.
There’s no reason Celtic can’t get upwards of £15-£20m for the player if they hold the nerve.
