Celtic have confirmed they have allowed Conor Hazard to go out on loan to Helsinki for the next 12 months with the goalkeeper nowhere near the first team picture.

Conor had a fleeting moment in the first team last season and was the hero in the quadruple treble cup final when he kept Hearts out in the penalty shoot out.

Not long after, he was offered a new long term deal but he’s dropped off the map since then.

Conor is a Celtic fan and has been with the club for a long time, but his chances of becoming a first team regular in the future are low.

The loan move to Helsinki could very well put him in the shop window.

The experience the goalkeeper will gain playing in a different league will also help him out greatly.

For Celtic, they have Joe Hart as their number one right now. Scott Bain just signed a new deal as a back up to Joe, Barkas is still in the building and Tobi Oluwayemi has been training more and more with the first team.

There’s simply no space for Conor at the club.

  1. Yet someone at the club decided to give him a 2 year contract last year when it was obvious he’s a poor keeper.
Need to get rid of Barkas, Ajeti, Bolingoli, Soro, Johnston during this transfer window and get Jota & CCV tied up
