If you have been following the latest developments of the Christopher Jullien transfer you will have known the player flew into Scotland last night to finalise a deal to become Celtic’s first signing of the summer.

Today the club has confirmed the 26-year-old has signed a FOUR-YEAR DEAL with the Scottish Champions and he will shortly leave Glasgow to head out to Celtic’s training camp in Austria.

This is a massive statement of intent from the club who have paid big money to get this deal over the line. Celtic have been in badly need of defensive reinforcements and to bring in a player of Jullien’s calibre should lay down a marker.

Neil Lennon spoke to the Celtic Website after the deal was announced:

“We are absolutely delighted to bring Christopher to Celtic. He is a quality player with great attributes and we are very much looking forward to him joining the squad and working with him.” Lennon said.

“We’ve got a squad of great quality already here at the club, who have achieved incredible success over the past few seasons, but it’s always good to add further quality to the group, and that’s what we’ve got with Christopher.”

The defender is fit and available to play for the club straight away and could even feature for the squad in one of their two remaining friendlies on tour. The Weiner game on Saturday may be too soon for the Frenchman
