Celtic have announced the signing of Diego Laxalt on a season-long loan deal from Italian side Ac Milan!

The club changed their Twitter profile to then on notifications with a twist!

The club have been on the hunt for a left-sided player, the whole transfer window, after Belgian Boli Bolingoli was allowed to leave after an incident which saw him lose complete trust of manager, Neil Lennon. But now the Hoops finally have their man, with Laxalt.

The Uruguay international has had such as Bologna and Empoli, with his latest loan being to Serie A side, Torino.

Laxalt will have a familiar face within the Celtic ranks as he was once a team-mate of current hoops midfielder, Oliver Ntcham whilst at Genoa.

His favoured position appears to be the all important left-wing back position that Celtic have been in desperate need for. Here’s hoping he can be the success we all hope he will be

Funnily enough, one of the left-backs first games could be against either Rangers or his current side, Ac Milan in the Europa League.
