CELTIC have today caught everybody cold by announcing the signing of Moritz Bauer on a season-long loan from Stoke.
The right-back will come in and immediately join up with his team-mates to bed in as quickly as possible. The defender comes to the club on loan but the Scottish champions do have a first option clause at the end of the deal.
Bauer, 27, made 16 appearances for Stoke City last season but has been on the periphery of their squad. This looks very much like a signing that has come from Celtic’s interim head scout Nicky Hammond.
The bhoys have been crying out for another right back with Hatem Elhamed coming in earlier in the window. Moritz will provide competition and back up in this area and will be looking to win a permanent move to Glasgow over the next 12 months.
The player will not be eligible to play against AIK but could feature in some capacity against The Rangers.
Any one see that coming?Now could you pull the next rabbits out of the hat and get two LBs well one for now and a holding midfielder thank you;;;;
