Celtic’s Conor Hazard has been loaned out to Partick Thistle for the rest of this season and could make his debut for the Jags against Dundee Utd this afternoon.

The goalkeeper signed a four-year deal with the club just last year but is still considered Celtic’s third choice, behind Gordon and Bain.

Gary Caldwell is hoping Hazard can make a significant impact for his struggling side.

Partick are in a relegation dogfight and needs all the help they can get as they look to avoid another disastrous drop.

The Northern Irishman went out on-loan at the same point last season to Falkirk where Conor picked up 11 appearances before heading back to Celtic.

If the goalkeeper can help save Thistle from the drop it could be a very productive loan period for the 20-year-old.

Craig Gordon won’t go on forever and the second or even first jersey could be up for grabs before Conor’s four-year deal is up.
