As former players go, this man should have done more with his career over the past three years than maybe he has.

Once working under Neil Lennon at Celtic and Hibs, Anthony Stokes was let go from the Easter Road outfit under the Lennon for things going on behind the scenes.

Since then, the striker has played in Greece and Iran both moves ended horribly with threat of court action from his former club in Greece while he still be in dispute with Tractor Sazi over lost wages.

On Friday, the former Celtic striker signed a deal with Turkish side Adana Dermirspor and will now look to do the business for his new club.

Stokes started as a trainee at Arsenal and once famously turned Celtic down to play in England, only for the club to finally sign him later down the line.

Arguably his best time in the hoops is when he partnered Gary Hooper.
