As we reported this morning, Gary Caldwell is the new manager of Partick Thistle, the club has confirmed.
The former Celtic and Hibernian defender has not been part of Scottish football since leaving the bhoys in 2010.
The former Wigan and Chesterfield boss will be tasked with getting Thistle back in the Premier League where he’ll be hoping for a Glasgow Derby or two with his old club.

Gary was a polarising figure at Celtic during his time with the Bhoys.
The defender did build a top partnership with a Stephen McManus and was famously part of the Gordon Strachan side who got to the last sixteen of the Champions League.
Caldwell was sacked at Chesterfield after eight months in charge and has admitted since he should never have taken the role after his disappointment at Wigan.
He’s now hoping a fresh start in Scottish football will be good for him.
