It has been a bit more complex than it needed to be at times but tonight Greg Taylor IS a Celtic player. The official announcement is imminent as per respected in the know journalist Alison Conroy’s tweet.

This has now been confirmed by Celtic who have announced the player on a four-year deal.

Jack Hendry and Calvin Miller were touted to go the other way as part of the deal but that has transpired not to be the case. This is said to have left the deal going to the wire with the two clubs having to renegotiate the terms without the cash plus player deal.

With the time running out a deal had to be agreed pretty quickly late this afternoon.

Once the deal was agreed, Taylor then made his way from the Scotland training camp straight to Celtic Park where he signed on the dotted line.

The left-back comes into the club looking to fight it out with Boli Bolingoli for a place in the team.

With Celtic playing in four competitions this season, there will be ample opportunity for both men to play.

  1. I do hope Greg Taylor makes the LB position his own so we can move Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo up the left side of midfield that would make the left side very strong….
Let the party begin lets do 9
