The 22-year old, who was highly rated by the Portuguese side, adds to Ange Postecoglou’s attacking wide options, which have been needed during this summers window.
Last campaign, the winger spent the season on loan with Spanish side Real Vallodolid in La Liga, featuring 17 times and scoring once.
Jota was part of the Portugal u19s squad in 2018, which won the European Championship, with the youngster also finishing top goalscorer in the tournament.
Some fans become frustrated when it comes to loan deals, but the positive about this one is the option to buy at the end of the season, which is expected to be in the region of £6.5 million.
The Portuguese wingers seems like an exciting young talent who can hopefully add a lot to Postecoglou’s squad.
