Celtic have today announced the signing of Leigh Griffiths to a new long-term deal which will see the striker participate in the effort for ten in a row with a new FOUR-YEAR deal.

Leigh has just hit his 100th goal for the club and is now looking to kick on and core a barrel load more in the coming years.

Brendan Rodgers spoke yesterday about the importance of keeping Leigh at the club and the fact the player himself was desperate to stay helped negotiations along.

Griffiths and Edouard are Celtic’s only first team recognised strikers at the minute after the departure of Mousa Dembele to Lyon on the final day of the transfer window.

Both of them will have to be firing at all cylinders in the next three months if Celtic are to continue to dominate and improve.

Celtic are away to St Mirren tonight where the striker will want to celebrate his new deal with a goal…or two.

Scott Brown looks to be right behind the striker in signing a new deal with his contract up at the end of this season.

Hail Hail Leigh!
